Blu Ray goes 3D

The latest way to watch a dvd movie at home is on your blu ray player in order to view the movie in high definition. How could it get better than that? Well it does with the new Sony S470 Blu-Ray player going 3D. That's right 3D! With more and more movies having the option of watching a movie in 3D at the theaters, it does not surprise me that 3D is being added as an extra feature. Maybe with the huge success of the movie Aviatar (the current highest grossing movie ever), Sony decided they wanted to market this 3D player before Aviatar is released on dvd.

What this 3D player offers fast startup to begin your movie. It can play blu ray disc, cd's , regular dvds where it offers to upscale the resolution , and of course hooks up to internet to view video's. The item is retailed at $200.00 which is a very affordable price considering how high blu- ray players tend to run. This item will be available in March but can be pre-ordered now.

I think this is a great item for movie lovers like myself out there. Especially those who have their own personal movie theaters where they like to sit and enjoy movies from the comfort of their own homes, this device is perfect for them. It is just another way to bring this movie experience to your home. If you have young kids who enjoy the animated movies from pixar and other 3D films they saw in theaters, this is going to be a good and affordable investment for families.
